Job description: The HR Representative will operate as a generalist to support specific business units within our company while specializing in the area of recruiting and onboarding related functions. The Representative will successfully manage talent acquisition needs by composing and posting employment vacancies, developing recruitment sourcing plans, managing internal need and application tracking, conducting initial resume and phone screenings, recommending, and arranging interviews for hiring managers, manage the candidate recruiting process from need generation to on-boarding. The Representative will be expected to build and foster positive and productive relationships with the management and employees of their business unit. The Representative will also aid in employee relations and be a responsive source for HR-related questions and needs. The ideal candidate will have prior Human Resources experience, with a background in industrial recruiting being an asset. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with employees, management, and potential candidates on a timely and effective basis. As a partner in the HR department, the Representative will be involved in a variety of departmental projects with a more HR generalist focus. This position may require occasional travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Compose and maintain job postings on both internal and external job boards.
  • Review resumes on a daily basis.
  • Conduct remote screenings, in-person interviews and new employee orientations.
  • Schedule interviews and candidate travel.
  • Gather details and draft job descriptions.
  • Data entry and file management.
  • Prepare and conduct functions associated with both employee onboarding and exits.
  • Assist assigned business units with employment-related questions by becoming the subject matter expert for HR inquiries and needs.
  • Work with the other HR partners to complete projects on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree related to Business or Social Sciences required.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office programs; prior HRIS experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience using applicant tracking and recruiting software/websites is desired.
  • Prior experience with immigration is preferred.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Open-minded with a flexible thought process and proven ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a time, with the ability to manage time and focus accordingly.
  • Ability to fact gather and make solution recommendations.
  • Be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative.
