As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in our financial operations, working closely with our Accounts Payable team and other departments to ensure seamless financial management. About the Role We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis, working 8 hours a day. This is a remote opportunity, allowing you to work from anywhere while still being an integral part of our Austin, USA-based team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing our accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and maintaining excellent relationships with our suppliers. Key Responsibilities Enter vendor invoices accurately and timely into our SAP system Monitor AP email inbox to download vendor invoices and respond to seller inquiries Review SAP reports (GRIR and MRBR) fortnightly to ensure invoices are being processed on time and accurately Prepare 1099 reporting and ensure compliance with tax regulations Collaborate with vendors in a timely and efficient manner Perform receipt entry (60% of the time) Provide vendor support (30% of the time) Handle ad-hoc projects and exceptional tasks (10% of the time) Review receipt aging and ensure accurate general ledger coding Ensure accurate matching of procurement orders to invoices Provide solid client support to all stakeholders Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline 0-2 years of relevant work experience in accounts payable, preferably in a wholesale distribution environment Strong SAP skills, although not mandatory Excellent Excel skills and ability to develop accounting spreadsheets for tracking vendor activity A goal-oriented mindset with high standards for excellence Self-motivation to complete projects by deadlines Ability to manage routine tasks and handle ad-hoc projects Obsessive attention to detail Strong organizational and project management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high volumes of transactions A proactive approach to identifying new efficiencies to bring to the organization Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Yeti, we're committed to the growth and development of our team members.
